Well, I had a nice busy weekend this past one. I was fortunate enough to get Friday off of work. (Cause I worked the Labor Day weekend) I was able to go kayaking in the morning for two hours. Note, it takes an hour to paddle to Medford Square from here. My goal is to make it someday down to the MeadowGlen Mall area, which isn't much further.

I was also able to start work on my Halloween diarama project. By Halloween this will take its place above the entertainment center in all its glory :-) It's just my creative side having a little outlet, please humor me.
Saturday I had to help my mom close up the pool. It's a very sad thing to see that nasty brown cover go over the nice sparkling blue. In my mind it means that summer is officially over.

Saturday night Russ and I invited the Kovacs to head out to Sudbury, MA with us. Our new favorite performer, Sean Altman, was performing with Paul & Storm, members of the group formaly known as DaVinci's Notebook. Amazingly enough this performance was given at a house party. Laurie & Neil Laba are nice enough once or twice a month to open their house to performers so we all can enjoy and its quite a house they have. They were able to fit at least 50 people into their living room area for the concert. Not to mention that Neil has a recording studio on the side. He was nice enough to let me listen to the recording of the evening and it sounded amazing. We'll definitely go back to listen to more groups.

Now, Peter & Laura Kovacs usually come over on Sunday nights to watch "Six Feet Under" with us. This weekend Russ decided to surprise them with some early halloween ideas he's had. Guinea pigs you might say :-) First, Gary our new corpse friend was inside coming out of the couch to say hi.. Thankfully his permanent residence will be outside on our lawn come October. Russ also managed to but a zombie chip & dip set. He made a jello mold of a brain and stuffed it inside the zombie head dip holder. Trust me it was as hard to eat as the pictures look. As much as I like Watermelon jello it was very hard to swallow coming out of a brain.
Be sure to take a look at pictures to get the full effect of the updates.
