A little late as always.. Russ always seems to post faster than I do about our activities.. but I can't compete against a guy who works with a computer all day. This is also my first post from our laptop in the living room. I can sit here and post while Russ plays Dave online in Mortal Kombat on XBox :-)
Our Columbus Day weekend started with a whirlwind of activity around Mindys, Russ' sister, wedding. It was a beautiful weekend for the wedding and from my perspective everything seemed to work out perfectly. I want to again thank Mindy for the absolutely awesome choice of bridesmaids dresses.. the red was incredible. Here's what I have for pictures.
Mindy & John's Wedding
So, after the wedding that weekend we took off Monday for Florida. My grandmother had passed away in February and my Dad & Aunt decided to keep the house and car as a vacation home. This worked out really well for Russ and I as we were trying to save a little money. Course, this wasn't much of a vacation. We were busy the entire time. This was also cause we didn't organize the trip as well as we could. A couple times we drove an hour or two only to find we were near the place we were to visit three days from then.
We started off our trip diving at the Blue Grotto. (Vacation means requisite dive) Our friend Jeff was nice enough to recommend the place cause his family happens to own it. We met a really friendly turtle while we were there who happened to dive with us.
Wednesday thru Friday we visited Disney World. Russ and I had been there multiple times with other people, but never with each other. The biggest thing we noticed while there was how nice it was to not be lugging kids around :-) We saw 4 parks in 3 days and even managed to sneak in two visits to Pleasure Island and a dinner at Medieval Times.
Saturday, our last day in Florida, we work up before dawn and traveled to Bird's Underwater to snorkel with the manatees. I wanted to say that I had swum with dolphins and now manatees. Even though we were so tired at 6:45 in the morning we had a great trip and swum with many a manatee and their babies.

So, thats our vacation in a blog :-) Soon we leave for Vegas with friends and we're both really excited. Till then.. Later
