So, recently Russ finally dragged me down to see Vegas :-) Our friends John Halupowski and Tracy Syria are getting married next year and they wanted to get together with friends for a long weekend to celebrate. Hence, Vegas. We stayed at the MGM Grand.. Of course I goggled over the lions every chance I got. We saw "O" a Cirque Du Soleil show. Which was absolutely amazing.. Explaining you will never understand, but imagine a stage thats a pool.. The floor can rise to make a stage floor or the floor can lower and actors dive from the ceiling of the stage. Very cool.
Russ and I never passed up a chance to play poker.. We did one higher limit room at the Mirage. The limit was 3-6, but we usually do 2-4 at Foxwoods :-) We stayed mainly at the Excaliber because it was closer to our hotel.
We visited so many hotels.. The Venetian was beautifuul with shopping and canals down the middle. There we were also able to visit Madame Tussauds wax museum.. It didn't take too long to go through, but we had a great time posing with the waxes.
Overall it was a great 4 days.. Never having been I loved seeing the red mountains and the flat land.. Too bad for the desert it wasn't very warm.. Nighttime of course gets cooler, but daytime was only in the 60's which I was a bit surprised. Here's hoping we'll be back soon :-)
