Russ And Chris

Our first big vacation with Aaron. Russ, Aaron , and I went up to Maine with Russ' family for a week. His Aunt and Uncle rented a house outside of Rockland, ME and 10 of us hung out for a week. It was magical. It was wonderful to have all the family together and for them to help entertain Aaron for most of the days. One of the best evenings I remember, we had just put him into PJ's and I brought him out to the living room to chill before bedtime. He laid back in my lap and just started babbling. It got everyones attention and we all stared in fascination.. It was so cute.
We (at least me) at our fill of seafood for most of the week. I've never seen so many lobsters consumed :-) It was delicious. There's a great picture in the set of Aarons' first look at one.
Can't wait till the next family vaca.

At 5 1/2 months Aaron started on real food.. Now I say real, but its rice cereal blended with breastmilk, not exactly what most people call appetizing. It took a few tries, but he's pretty proficient now.. The first couple itmes most of it got spit back out with a face that I took to mean "what are you thinking". Since then its been 2 weeks and I've been slowly adding jarred baby food. It now reads in the baby book that his first food was officially pureed sweet potatoes. Today I started on the peas.. he didn't seem to like them so much, which I don't blame him.. ugh.. but everything new seems to have that same reaction so we'll keep trying.

Gosh, so much to catch up on. I guess the farthest back would be Dave & Caitlins wedding.. Absolutely beautiful and the food was fantastic :-) So happy for you guys. If either of you happen to read this I tried to video capture the vows and the speeches.. Youtube won't let me upload because of size, but if you want them let me know and I'll send them on over.
Weddings this summer have been especially nice because its given Russ and I time to get away from the baby for a little while.. My mom babysat for this evening and things went perfectly. Thanks mom!
